Each LED draws up to 60 mA at full white — 24 LEDs full-white = 1.4 A from the 5V rail. A 3.3V board signal can drive WS2812B if the first LED is close (within ~30 cm) and the 5V rail is clean; otherwise add a 74AHCT125 level shifter.
